William J. Hunter has over 30 years of experience in the global leasing industry.
Mr. Hunter started his career in 1981 with Citibank’s Equity Syndication and
Specialized Leasing unit gaining experience in large ticket aircraft, rail,
shipping and project financing.
Joining Chemical Bank’s Specialty Finance Group in 1985, he transferred to
their London office to re-establish its large international air finance group while
continuing to manage a U.S. leveraged lease portfolio of both aircraft and rail assets.
Mr. Hunter continued his career by joining the Capital Finance unit of The CIT Group in 1988
where he spent 18 years in various transportation sales related roles. He was responsible for the
origination, negotiation and disposition of over $1.5 billion of aerospace related assets and
$720 million of rail assets during his CIT career. He created and managed CIT’s Structured Finance
Group supporting both the aerospace and rail business units.
In 2007 he joined Jetlease, Inc., a small independent aircraft operating lessor based in Houston,TX
as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Hunter received a degree in Accountancy from Bentley College, Waltham, MA.
He is a member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (“ISTAT”).
